Cell Phones for Soldiers

Do you have an old cell phone that you are not using? Did you know that by donating your old cell phone you could give a soldier valuable minutes to phone home to his/her family while being deployed? "Cell Phones for Soldiers" hopes to turn old cell phones into more than 12 million minutes for prepaid calling cards for U.S. troops stationed overseas. This is a small way for you to show our men and women who have sacrificed the day-to-day contact with their own families to serve in the U.S. armed forces your appreciation.

If you would like to donate your old phone to this tremendously worthy cause, please simply drop your old cell phone in the "Cell Phones for Soldiers" collection box located in the Parish Office Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm or Sunday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. You can also contact me, Susan Bertoglio (714) 289-8225 and I will gladly pick it up from you.

Thanks to kind people such as you, we can provide enriching experiences to soldiers overseas who cannot talk to their families very often. Your old cell phone can truly make a difference!

SR-91 Improvement Project to Relieve Freeway Congestion91 fwy Improvements

Continuing on the promise to improve mobility on SR-91, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) will add a new six-mile lane in each direction between SR-241 and SR-55 – delivering a better drive through Anaheim and Yorba Linda and "A Better 91" for our community. This project will increase capacity, improve operations and relieve congestion on the freeway for the thousands who drive it every day.

We are excited to begin moving forward with the second step of a comprehensive program to improve this vital freeway improvement project, which connects our communities to key destinations and links America's Port with the American Heartland. From our construction launch on August 22 to the estimated completion in late 2012, we remain committed to keeping you informed.
